Hi I'm new to forums, but just could do with some advice or just the knowledge of anyone else who is been or going through this.

well where do I start,sorry it's a bit long winded just thought I give you all the full picture. it all really started at the beginning of the year, I was admitted to hospital on my birthday with what I thought was a stomach bug but to be fare I only had one really bad night of diarrhoea but the following morning I opened my bowls and all I passed was blood, with that I called the gp when I got there I was really exhausted and all my stats were not right so they sent me to AE on arrival I collapsed and then then admitted me for 10days. I as told it was a gastric bug that has brought on ibs. Once I Was home I still didn't feel 100% but I went back to work I then got a sore throat i thought great now I'm getting a cold. The cold never came out but the sore throat continue, this happened throughout February then the corona virus came and we all went into lockdown. My throat never got any better and my ears started to hurt so I had a look in the mirror and I could see lumps by my tonsils with some white spots nearby so I call the gp and as there were no face to face appointment I explained to him my symptoms he said it sound like tonsillitis and gave my antibiotics well to cut it short they did not work so I managed to see a gp face to face who said she was unsure and gave me more antibiotics and was told to call her back in 2wks if there's no improvement which I did. She then put me on a 2ww for ent.

Ent were also  not doing face to face so I had to explain over the phone. He said he do a Mri scan then a panenscopy biopsy under general . He had not see me nor my throat. Well I have now had my mri scan a week Wednesday and I had the biopsy done Friday 26june. After my operation I did see a consultant to ask him what he saw or found, apart from the staff nurse saying they didn't take your tonsils out. When I Ve looked in the mirror it looks like I have had laser treatment in various place in my mouth and throat as there lots of white /burnt patches. And on my discharge letter see again in 4/6wks but no instructions on how to care for my mouth or when or how I get the results. Or who to call if I have any questions.Scared and worried.

 So my questions are these.

What the best after care for mouth and throat after biopsy?

Is it because of covid I have not had any face to face time with specialist?

is it normal for these types of biopsy to take this long for you to get results?

Did they see something when I was in theatre so the opted to remove it?

Did they see something but won't inform you until they no for sure?

sorry this is very long but worried out of my mind on what going on.

p.s I have also lost 1stone in weight since February and it not through trying as I been eating so much junk . Please any advice or reassurance will help as this is going to be a long 4/6wks wait.
