I’m so worried I have Lymphoma

So I've had swollen lymph nodes in my groin (around 3-4 of them) for about 2 months now, and some swollen lymph nodes on my neck (definitely 4 of them) for a few weeks now. I also have pains in my armpits where the lymph nodes are. I have now also started to develop a sharp burning chest pain that never really goes away and can be most present even when I'm sitting doing nothing. The chest pain can either be sharp over my heart area, or aching to the point where I feel my entire chest is in agony. My muscles in my all my limbs but especially my arms constantly ache and feel weak as well. There is also these strange sharp pains I receive randomly in all over my abdomen, and some times even in my testicles.
I've spoken to a doctor about these symptoms before and it was put down to a recent worm infection I had at the beginning of this year, however I have been worm free now for a while and these symptoms feel completely different to when I had the belly ache of having the worms.

I'm really just wondering if anyone can give me some guidance to clear my head a little? I've been constantly so worried that I have lymphoma or some other type of cancer due to the constant feeling of being extremely un-well and run down and the swollen lymph nodes that have not gone away. My anxiety is through the roof with this.

Cheers,

Azz.

  • Hi,

I went to the doctors 4 weeks ago now with a swollen lymph node in my neck and had bloods done as no sign of infection and these came back clear so I thought it was fine. Went back again today as two tiny ones behind my ear have also came up. My doctor isnt worried at all but has sent me for an ultrasound for peace of mind as my mum died of lymphoma. However, I've now got a bit of a scratchy throat and have been having bad migraines and some numbness in my face and a pain in my arm that comes and goes and feels like when you bump your funny bone, so I'm thinking I have a virus somewhere. Lymph nodes can stay inflamed for a while after an infection so it may still be down to your previous worm infection. Has your gp done any tests or referred you for a scan?
