Hi, I have been having blood in my stool for a very long time, first it was fresh blood which I presumed was from hemorrhoids and now the blood is dark and a little slimy, kind of mixed with mucas. I’m absolutely petrified as I’m also 14 weeks pregnant and I don’t want any procedures they do like a sigmoidoscopy to affect the baby. I haven’t even been given an appointment yet but does anyone know if a sigmoidoscopy poses a risk to the fetus ?
