Lymph nodes in neck

Hi,

I've been having trouble with my neck since the end of February. When this all started, I had a swollen lymph node under my right ear and this was put down to viral tonsillitis even though I had no symptoms of tonsillitis. Took antibiotics and it eventually went down after about a week. However, when I finished these, the whole right side of my neck had swollen up and was very sore to move and was given more antibiotics. I was then referred to the haematology department but the swelling had disappeared by the time I had the appointment and wouldn't do anything.

A week or so later, another lump appeared where the muscle is (towards the back of the neck) and this was very sore and still is now. Had multiple exams done by the doctor and she's said the whole right side of my neck is a lot more firm and tense than the left, going from my collar bone up to the back of the neck. She said my right tonsil was enlarged as well. Did tests for mumps, came back negative. This time, she referred me to ENT and had an ultrasound and biopsy done. The ultrasound showed I have too many lymph nodes just about my collar bone and I have noticed that part of my neck is more pertruding than the other side. I've been in constant pain and I'm awaiting the results from the biopsy but I can't help but worry it's something serious. I spoke to another doctor about the pain and she felt the muscle and she's worried it could be something dangerous.

My anxiety is all over the place and I can't go back to work yet because of the pain and stress.

  • I have the same now I also found them lumps in my armpit and groin and there symptoms of lymphoma and I lumps all over my body so went to the doctor and I am a skinny build and was told I can just feel my lymph nodes cause not much fat covering them and lump in stomach was just my Colon so I'm sure your fine but I would look for a referral to an oncologist if you are in pain
