Bleeding and spotting

Hi,

In October 2017 I had abnormal cells removed which were found via a biopsy after my smear results were normal but I was experiencing bleeding after sex and spotting.

Since then I fell pregnant with my son in June 2018 and had him in March 2019, I then had the IUD fitted in October 2019 but then started to have bleeding after sex and spotting again in December 2019. I went for an ultrasound and a smear and all seemed normal the gynecology department looked at my cervix in March 2020 and said it seems OK and wasn't worried as the bleeding had stopped. But I have since bled after sex a little differently than usual more noticeable as normally it's a tiny bit and have had some spotting.

So my question is shall I see the Gp again or not because it isn't long since I was last checked and everything seemed OK. I worry mainly because the smear never picked the abnormal cells up originally only the biopsy.

I am stuck for what to do I don't want to waste anybodys time by keep going and I also don't want to keep putting myself through it unnecessarily but the doubt is there that I could be ignoring something that I shouldn't.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing issues and concerns around spotting and bleeding. It's good to hear that your most recent checck up at the hospital didn't raise any concerns but I can see from your post that you are still worried about your symptoms.
Please do make an appointment to speak to your GP or practice nurse. You will not be wasting anyone's time. They will be able to refer you again to the hosptial if necessary or at least give you some reassurance about things.

I hope that things are resolved for you soon.

    Best wishes,
