Doctor didn’t take me seriously and now I’m still worried

Hi, Sorry if this intruding on a place where people are actually struggling but i don't know where else to turn to and I'm a bit worried.

I went to my GP a couple months ago about night sweats, extreme tiredness and swollen glands on my neck, face next to my ear and my armpit that got worse and sore after drinking alcohol. She seemed a bit worried so referred me to ENT. Went to my ENT appointment and the doctor made me feel stupid and didn't seem to take me seriously whatsoever.. she didn't even feel the lump in my armpit. I then asked her since my symptoms are obviously still persisting, should i go back to my GP? She then told me I'm probably tired because of lockdown, and that night sweats are normal. She hasn't given me any peace of mind and I'm now still worried because i hear stories of misdiagnosis or people being turned away because the doctors don't do enough research!!!
I'm a 22 year old female. Thanks for reading

  • Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms and your doctor treating you this way... Are your lymph nodes visible? Are they hard or soft and painful? If you have night sweats, is it very intense meaning you have to change your clothes and bed sheet? These are important things to notice.  I would suggest to do a blood test as this can rule out a lot of potential illnesses. On the other hand, were in a super wiered situation now with pandemic and lockdown. A lot of people including myself experience very unusual symptoms atm that could be anything - allergy, lack of vitamins (D3, B12, iron...) I hope you will get your diagnosis soon and it won't be anything serious xx
