Hello

I attended a&e 6 days ago with severe chest pain. I had bloods which shwed raised D-Dimer, so they suspected a clot. I have a CT and it shows a 7 cm mass between my heart and breastbone. I was seen the next day at oncology who said yes it looks like lymphoma, but I need more tests. I am booked in for a PET in 4 days time. He said that because it is so close to my heart, he doesnt know if it will need to be done my a cardio thorasic surgeon.

How long does it usually take to have a biopsy, lets say a needle one or however it is done... after you have had your PET?

I am obviously freaking out a bit over this as everything points towards lymphoma and I just want to know eiher way.

How long does has it taken others from having suspected cancer, so haveing the tests and getting an answer?
