Hi Everyone, I had a pain in my upper tummy just below my lefthand side at my ribcage about 13wks ago. GP diagnosed me with serious kidney infection and was given a course of antibiotics. The pain did not subside so GP arranged for me to be checked over at hospital a week later. Hospital checked me over and arranged for an ultrasound to be taken of my ovaries the next day which did not report back with any problems. I was asked that i have bloods re-done in 6wks which i did and consultant sent a letter to say the CA125 levels had increased again. Consutlant organised for a CT scan which was done 1wk ago and a consultant rang today to let me know they have found a fatty linning with strands on the outside of my stomach? Obvously that was a Gyn consultant and she explained that it was not her expertise so when I asked outright was it cancerous or likley to be to which the reply was "we cant rule that out"?
She asked about familly history with cancer which we do have but also my BMI is well over and i am 16.5 stone and only 5ft 1".
The consultants only have 1 meeting per week which is away next Wednesday where the radio-oligist will look along with the constultans what the next step is. She did suggest they would probably need to get a biopsy done? My only worry with all this is that i lost my younger Sister 41yrs of age to Burkitts Lymphoma which was diagnosed in July 2018 and she passed January 2019. The consultant has said for me not to worry about it and hoped that they will decide next week what is to happen. Has anyone else had similar symtoms/tests carried out?
