Small lump in right breast

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and waiting for a diagnosis on a lump in my right breast. The GP has referred me to the breast clinic and I've got my appointment two weeks from now. The waiting time is quicker now due to Corona?

Anyway, the doctor seems to think it's a fibroadenoma or more affectionately called a mouse lump! The lump is really small and literally flies around my breast. It is soft and doesnt cause any pain.

I've just turned 28 and I am extremely worried this could be sinister...

Also, I've got quite small breast and I am still quite young so would they do a mammogram on me or something else?

Thanks

  • Hi there

Its good to read that the lump "flies around my breast" and that its soft. Cancerious lumps are fixed and hard but your GP has did the right thing in referring you to the breast clinic to see what the lump consists of. Don't worry about the cliniic - they are lovely people and will probably do an ultrasound but if they decide on mammogram the equipment can do this on small breasts.

    Try not to worry x
