Swollen lymph node & abdominal pain

Hey everyone! I'm looking for anyone who's had similar issue and what the outcome was?

I found a lump in the back of my neck which has been confirmed as a swollen cervical lymph node. I was told to go back to GP if it was still there after 6 weeks. It has been there 7 weeks now and is slightly bigger. There has been some tenderness there once or twice but majority of the time no pain. My bloods came back with low iron and low B12 (folate). So I've been put on meds and referred to ENT.

But for last few weeks I've been getting bad abdominal pains. Bowel movements are fine etc but these pains alter in pain level and can sometimes really hurt. I've also been getting extreme fatigue, short of breath and nauseated. Don't know whether to call GP again or just wait?

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

  • Hello Forestowl8
I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment and waiting for an appointment at the hospital. If these symptoms are concerning you then it's certainly worth getting in touch with your GP for some advice. Sometimes iron supplements can cause abdominal discomfort.
I hope that you don't have to wait too long for your hospital appointment and that things improve soon.

    Best wishes,
