Lymphoma help!

Hi guys,

I'm 25 I've had these lumps on my neck, groin and breasts for 9 months I was told these were my lymph nodes. Back on January I was admitted to a haematology ward and had some blood work done. I was told it was nothing to worry about and it was glandular fever and the lumps would go after a few weeks.

however after having them now for 9 months and also having 9 months worth of severe night sweats, swollen spleen constant heart burn and the worst itching (feels like my skin is burning off)  And general exhaustion I am starting to get worried they might have misdiagnosed this, but my mum is set on it not being cancer so speaking to her about things is very difficult as she just brushes it off and says I've been checked over once. We have a history of cancer in the family with most women dying of it by the age of 70 and my uncle has a rare form of blood cancer.

any advise on what to do and how to be seen quickly? I have been referred to the ENT with an appointment 2 weeks away.

im just really worried and scared.

  • Hiya,

I am 25 too! My blood tests all came back normal and so I was urgently referred to the ENT and have a ultrasound and biopsy tomorrow to see what's going on! Also have a CT scan booked for next month too! I've been itching and having night sweats for about a year but put it down to hormones after having my daughter in March last year. It wasn't until it all started getting worse and I found several raised lymph nodes on my neck and finding myself so so exhausted that I finally decided to get checked out!

so I completely understand how you are feeling! Hopefully we will both get some answers soon!
