Hi all. Newbie here. 

So my mum has been quite I'll recently with Jaw and Ear pain, (since before lockdown) and FINALLY went to a dr about it last week who told her she needed to have a biopsy yesterday.

my younger brother (who lives with her) is the one who told me all of this - (I thought I had a fairly good relationship with my mum - I am eldest child so I dont know why she hasnt told me?).

Anyway, we find out the results in two weeks and apparently the dr said that the fact that she is in pain is a good sign????? 

I don't  know whether my mum has made that up for my brother to tell me so that I don't freak out

(I'm already freaking out - you may be able to tell??)

I'm presuming they are looking at mouth, jaw and possibly ear cancer as a possibility but has ANYONE ever found that to be true; that consistent pain is a good sign in these cases? All I'm seeing is pain is a symptom.
