Brain cancer?

Hello everyone

i am new here and just wanted some advice, in march i had the most severe migraine, flashing lights, vomitting and the pain was like nothing i have ever felt before, this lasted 24 hours but came out of nowhere, since then i have had near constant dull head pain but not every day, palsating whoosing in my ear, vision issues, slight blance problem (feel like im going to the side). So yesterday i decieded to speak to my GP who said i would have to go to the surgery to be examined... 10 mins later another GP rang me to say actually we are sending you for an urgent 2WW MRI scan... i am now so worried this may not be migraine? Has anyone else had this problem? And what was the outcome?  TIA.

  • Hi Bella, try not to worry too much they are just being careful.  I suffered with migraine and its debilitating, also if you have an inner ear infection this can cause awful problems  so it could be a combination of both.  The scan will help you and if you worry too much this will increase your pain, try taking painkillers every four hours to try and keep on top of the pain.  Once the pain grabs hold its difficult to keep at bay, I even took tablets to bed and took them at the right time in the night.  I kept a list of what I took and at what time so I didn't exceed the recommended dose.  Let us know how you get on.  Good luck, Carol x
