Hi all,
This is my first time ever posting on this site, although I have been reading the threads for a few days. On Monday, I noticed a swelling above my armpit on the left side. Couldn't feel any lumps in my actualy armpits or breast but the swelling felt like some form of lump underneath. I was going to leave it for a week or so because of the current situation but ended up calling the GP surgery and they agreed to see me. The GP wasn't sure what the lump is. She can feel something but she isn't sure what it is. My mum has previously had breast cancer and I'm assuming because of her history and the GP not knowing what the lump is, she has referred me to breast clinic. Two hours later, I had a call from them with an appointment for next week. I am absolutely terrified. I'm 36, don't smoke and never drank. The GP examined both breasts and armpits but found no lumps. I just wondered if anyone else had similar experiences and also what to expect when I go to clinic. I know I won't be able to take anyone with me because of COVID-19 so that is a bit daunting too.
