Lump on Neck on Right Hand Side

Last Saturday a found a lump on my neck, I have monitored it and was not going away to phoned docs. They seen me on Tuesday and said its roughly 3 to 4cm and feels hard.  It's just down from my ear at side of neck on right hand side it's like it's on my muscle. He seeked a 2nd opinion and decided to refer me for a urgent CT scan which he says 1-2 weeks and I got bloods taken today.   I have no temp, sweats, sore ears, no nausea, but it does feel sore but not very painful more like a stretched pulsating muscle.  I am worried sick and thinking the worst.   Has anyone else experienced this.

  • I too have had a lump on the right side of my neck since January and it's still there, along with that I feel generally unwell, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach pain, constipation and also the occasional pain around my ear and up into my cheek. I have seen the doctor on multiple occasions whom are confused of what's wrong with me so got referred to a haematologist which I have an appointment with tomorrow. I have had so many tests done by the doctor and they all came back fine, I also have a low grade fever on and off. I'm concerned I might have lymphoma, is anyone else experiencing similar symptoms??

  • Hi how large is your lump?  Mines is 3cm and they said it feels its deep. God knows what that means!

How did your appointment go today, did you get any answers to your worries xx

  • I saw the haematologist today, they took more bloods and the ones that came back so far are normal. The lump on my neck is around the size of a pea but it shrinks and grows. The doctor wants me to go for an ultrasound to determine the size, shape and depth within 2 weeks and then a follow up appointment in a month. They are unsure on what's causing me to feel so rubbish as my symptoms don't add up which is really frustrating as I didn't really get any answers. X
