Hi everyone this is the first time I've joined this forum. I found a lump in one of my breasts a few weeks ago and booked a doctors appointment asap who then referred me to a clinic. During the ultrasound they confirmed that the lump I had found was completely normal but actually found a large dense area in my other breast which was a complete shock to me. They took a biopsy there and then and will let me know sometime next week if it's all fine over the phone or whether I need to come in. As I'm 25 I'm hopeful that this large area will be benign but I keep going round in circles in my head. Looking for any advice from nurses on here or people that have had a similar experience and it actually turned out fine. They didnt give me an indication really if it would be benign or not so now I'm worrying lots. I've also done all of this without telling my mum as I thought it would all be fine. I'm now regretting not telling her right at the start and trying to determine whether I should tell her now or just wait until next week's results.
thanks xx
