Hi everyone,
I have had a swollen lump in my jaw for 9 years now.
My family are them people that don't think anything is serious, so basically I put it off for 3 years after I found it. Eventually when I went to the doctors, he checked it and sent me for a blood test. As I was only young at the time I refused the blood test because I was scared and ran a mile!
At the present time, the lump is still there, it has never changed. Tonight I've been casually looking into having my teeth cleaned at a dentist and it showed on a video what they do and they check for swollen lymph nodes. After I saw this I though "hmm I have one of them" and went to Dr Google.
Dr Google says if it's been there for more that 4 weeks it could be serious. Now I'm panicking and obviously think the worse.
I'm reading the symptoms of lymphoma and over the years I have deteriorated but we thought this was due to my diagnosis of personality disorder. I am incredibly skinny, I never eat, no appetite even when I'm starving and I sweat badly at night, I have to sleep naked and I'm always tired. I have felt like this for 5 years or so, always drained and I've tried vitamins and everything, I'm only 23 and it's killing me to go up the stairs all the time. I'm just so unsure right now. I've been told I may have "a thyroid problem" or "fibromyalgia" there is something wrong but we don't know what.
I have had a baby so surely they would of picked up on something? I have also been in hospital numerous times for personal reasons and they have done blood tests. Has anyone got anything similar to me to put my mind at ease that maybe it isn't the evil C.
I have also noticed a more large lump that petrudes under my chin when I look down, I forgot about it appearing a year back, it's quite tender and feel a bit bumpy.
thank you xxx
