Just wondering if anyone has been through anything similar. 

For a few months I've been having bleeding between periods. This varies from watery blood to blood. It's always more than spotting. My periods have been really heavy and painful for some time. Have severe pain in coccyx and pain into thighs (no idea if it's related or not)  
 

Finally got the courage to see my GP last week, she requested CA - 125 test which was normal but still wanted me to have a scan. Went for my scan and was told by the person doing it that my ovaries were fine but that she could see a polyp in my uterus which she wants removed and tested. 
 

Two hours later my GP called me to say that the hospital have sent her the report, that there is a mass/thickening which could be a suspected polyp and I need an urgent referral to gynae. 

Have severe fatigue (but have ME so thats to be expected). Plus my white blood count and vitamin D is low which also adds to the fatigue.  

Keep hoping that as the CA-125 was ok, and as white count is low rather than high it won't be anything sinister, but because I was told at the scan it was a polyp but the report says mass/thickening and it's being done as an urgent referal its making me nervous.
