Lump on chest

Hi im really worried,

I have had a lump on my chest which I went and had ultrasound on, they told me its just a simple lipoma,

I noted to them that it hurt considerably but just left it considering they're the experts, the lump is only about 2cm big and its really tender but the worrying thing is my health has really deteriorated now my bowel don't open properly and the whole side of my chest around that lump really hurts and its really sore, granted the lump itself hasn't got any noticeably bigger but the area immediately around it feels more tender and sore and it feels like its effecting deeper tissue than what they say a simple lipoma should, i know this isnt a diagnosistic site in any form but im just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience I apologise if I'm breaking any rules and will remove my post if so, I am loosing weight and the dr seems concerned but my bloods seems to be fine, I am constantly fatigued, my hip hurts to where I can no longer walk onit and I just think that more os going on than just simple lipoma. The lump in is about 3 inches below my pectorial on left side in the middle of my left chest wall. It feels though the are has turned into jelly around it and nerves have been damaged and it goes deep and is now affecting my whole abdomen, but without noticeable large mass.

Thanks and sorry if I'm posting wrong content just very concerned.

  • Hello Biggles,

A warm welcome to our forum. I can understand why you are feeling worried and I hope that you will hear from others here who have been in a similar position before. It's good that you have had the lump on your chest checked out by ultrasound. It might be worth though making an appointment with your doctor again if you haven't done so already to discuss these results and to mention that this lump is very tender. It is worth reiterating with your doctor that you have been losing weight and feel very tired and that your hip is very sore. Do mention too what you have described here - that you feel this is now affecting your whole abdomen. If you feel that you are not getting anywhere with your current doctor, you could also try and get a second opinion. You can find out more about this on this page.

I hope you manage to find out more about all this very soon and I am keeping everything crossed for you everything turns out to be fine.

    Best wishes,
