ovarian cyst or ovarian cyst i should be scared?

Hi Everyone,

Last month I got a bleeding that was unrelated to the period a large clot fell out, reminiscent of a miscarriage. Then after two weeks i get normal period like usual. My gp  refferal me to do scan. I had scan today. After scan i asked woman about results she didnt want speak wirh me. She said my gp will contact wirh me about results on this friday but gp contact me after 3 h from my scan. He said i must come for some blood test tomorrow and he refferal me for 2 weeks urgent appointment.  They found during scan some cyst 6 cm. Now i am really scared and i dont know what i should think... I am only 30y young mum. If they sending me so quick for blood test and to hospital this must mean cancer or if cyst it above 5cm tthis its routine and this not must think cancer ...

  • At least you have an answer to your pain and that this is going to be sorted. My ca125 was 36 mine is a borderline ovarian cyst. My op is scheduled for 17 July. It's hard not looking for to having the op but it's a means to an end. Good luck with yours and I'm sure I will be on this forum after my op and be able to give you hopefully some assurance

  • Hi, well it all sounds very promising for you as far as your ovarian cyst is concerned I'm so pleased that your having your operation earlier than expected and as for the gallstones they are very very painful, I had my gallbladder removed  a year ago ( I've had a bad year) because of gallstones and I've never felt pain like a gallbladder attack, us women have a lot to go through with hormones don't we, good luck let us know how you get on

  • Hi my date for the op is 17th july. I'm a little anxious now but trying to stay positive and thinking that at least in 10 days it will be over this massive cyst will be out along with just about everything else that's in there and I'll be on the road to recovery. I'm a little scared about the pain I will be in after but hopefully I will be able to cope. Can I ask how long did it take for you to feel more your normal self
