Hi everyone this is my first post on here
I went to the Drs 5 weeks ago (video call first) about two moles on my right thigh that had become itchy and one had developed a dark black border around the edges which I don't remember being there a while back. As a result of this I got refered to the hospital after pictures were taken at the drs. I went in and they examined the moles one I was told to keep an eye on the other they wanted to remove for testing. I had an excision biopsy done to make sure it was hopefully nothing 'sinister' (surgeons words). It's 4 weeks now since I had it done (they said results can take 4-6 weeks) and I'm freaking out more everyday. I know I should stay away from Dr google but it's difficult in your experiences does the wait mean anything? Like good or bad news?
Can I call the department that did it and check if they're ready or should I just wait another 2 weeks? Feel like I'm going a bit stir crazy I've definitely not helped myself googling so much about melanoma skin cancer and the fact that I've got ginger hair, burn incredibly easily, loads of moles and freckles (all risk factors) has just made me feel worse.
Thanks for reading. x
