Scariest time of my life...

Hi,

I’m 31. I went to the GP last Wednesday as I found a lump in my right breast. Terrified is beyond an understatement.

I was given a course of antibiotics, which I’m half way through, however I don’t think they’ve done anything. I believe in fact the lump is bigger.

I have also noticed a dull ache from my right armpit and my right nipple is very slightly turned in when I lay down.

My family history is riddled to add to my fear. My paternal Aunty had breast cancer in her early 30s and my paternal grandmother passed away at 36 from breast cancer.

i received the letter from the nhs today with regards to the  breast clinic appt, which was on the choose and book service. Fortunately my dad has paid for me to have the scan done privately, which is tomorrow at 4.40.

I just really needed to get this out to someone who doesn’t have an emotional tie to me. My fiancé is going out his mind bless him and I can’t stop crying nearly every time I look at my young children.

i know I’m not alone and I’m probably gunna be fine. Hugs to all xx

  • That's a great last paragraph, panda13. Good luck!

  • I hope your okay I am the same although mine are in my neck and I have a 4 month old baby, noticed them a month ago are not going down now I'm getting an ultrasound. It's terrible isn't it you can't focus on anything else and when you look at your children your heart just breaks.

my boyfriend is going mad to as I keep saying feel them feel them have they gone down etc so I can relate to you.

its a horrible time for us both but trust in the professionals and let me know how your scan goes

    good luck xx
