Advice

I've come here looking for some advice and hopefully a little peace of mind. I recently had pains in my breast which for about 2 weeks I waited before going to my go about this, I was examined and my gp believed he found a lump and I was referred to a breast clinic. 2 weeks later I received an app and it was only 1 week away. I was very anxious, I am only 26 years old. My dads mum and my mums mum both had breast cancer and passed away from this both grandparents being in their early 30s. I got to my app and the doctor checked me over believed I had no lump and I was in and out within in 10 minutes. It's been around 6 weeks now since the pain started and now I'm getting pains in my arm and armpit along with the breast pain. It's not a tenderness or period ache it's more like a shooting pain behind my breast etc. I now am still left worried about this after having no mammogram etc. Any advice would be really appreciated. • Hi, I'm really sorry to hear that you are so worried. I can totally understand your worry and I'm currently going through something similar with a newly inverted nipple but gp hasn't requested any further tests, I'm only 22 so I'm super anxious.

If you're like me, and unhappy with your treatment and it's causing you much anxiety (mine is through the roof!!) I would request a second opinion as your first doctor had a clear reason for sending you so it could have been followed up properly with the correct tests.

I hope you can find a way to put your mind at rest! X
