Hi there , 

6 weeks ago I noticed a lump on the back of my throat , on the back wall and a bigger right tonsil . I've also got a feeling like something catching on the tonsil and had earache . I suffer with tonsil stones but can't see them or get them out .
I was put on a two week referral , had a camera up my nose which they said looked fine , had blood tests , again fine and they checked my neck , no lumps . I also had a chest X-ray , also fine .
The ent dr said that the throat lump could be a mucus retention cyst so next they sent me for an mri of the neck with contrast . I presume to check for anything sinister? 

The secretary rang me yesterday to say that the mri was discussed at an MDT meeting and i was to be informed that it was fine . 
however they still want to see me again face to face. 

i suffer with huge health anxiety as you can probably tell that I need to address but can anyone tell me why they want to see me ? Could the mri scan have missed anything? What will happen next? Would an mri scan with contrast have picked up any Tumors or cancer in my throat?
