I have just returned from a scan as I have been bleeding for 7 days . I am 50 years old and not had a period for 3 years . The radiographer did not give much info away she said my overies and  cervix looked fine which is good ( her words) but said i had a thickening of the uterous lining and it looked like a polip in the lining .. is this usual ? I had a sxan 4 years ago as my sister had womb cancer and they said I had no thickening . I have been referred to Gynecologist urgent she said I am adsuming they think cancer for me to know .. i thought it took many years for a thickened lining to become  cancer . Really struggling very scared I have cancet
