I'm sorry to hear that you recent found a lump and you've been undergoing tests. It's understandable that you're feeling worried at the moment. 

It's not uncommon for additional biopsies to be needed if a sample is inconclusive. A core biopsy is a common biopsy and apart from the local anaesthetic being given you shouldn't feel anything during the procedure. You can read more here. 

We know that waiting for tests and results can be difficult. Try to keep in mind that the large majority of women who attend breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer. And remember that you do have age on your side as well.

I had a core biopsy last week and am also waiting for results. It's a very anxious time. 

I had an ultrasound and the Dr said I needed a core biopsy. When he left the room the nurse did say that the Dr would pre-warn you if they suspected it was bad, but without the biopsy they can't know for sure which is why it's so important. 

I know how worrying it is, but given your age the chances are good that it's nothing to worry about.
