Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any symptoms the same as me. I am 61 years old and have been on HRT for about 5 years. Due to HRT shortages my doctor has had to change my prescription. I was on Elleste duo conti which gave me a 3 day bleed every month. I was then put on Elleste duet combi which did not give me a bleed at all, great I thought I love this one.

After being on combi for 3 months I suddenly started a break through bleed. I have now been bleeding brown not red every day for 6 weeks. It's not heavy and I only notice it when I wipe. 

I contacted my Dr's surgery stating my concerns as my mother died of ovarian cancer. Today 26 April 2020 my Doctor phoned me and has frightened the life out of me by saying he is putting me on a 2week pathway and that I have to go to my local hospital as soon as I can to get bloods taken, he will arrange for me to see a gynaecologist and to have a scan. He said because of my family history he is trying to rule out cancer. 

I thought he would just tell me it is breakthrough bleeding and not to worry, but he hasn't. 
I have no other symptoms apart from lower back ache not pain just a dull ache. What I would like to know if anyone else has had any experience similar to mine but has actually been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
