Indent on breast small lump and referral to clinic

Hi,

 

I've finally been to the GP about the small indent in my left breast. She has found a "small moveable lump" and had put me on an ordinary referral to the clinic today so am waiting to hear for an appointment in the next two weeks.

 

Has anyone had any similar experiences? When I google it brings up the worse stories and I'm already extremely worried and stressed as it is about this. I had a mother with breast cancer so it's very worrying for my at the moment. I am only 32.

    I'm sorry to read about your worries although it's of course perfectly natural when there is this uncertainty and waiting for further info.

    I know it's easier said than done but people say it can help to keep busy and keep your mind off things while waiting for the appointment or for results. Also it's always best not to Google things as this is rarely helpful and often leads to incorrect or outdated information.

    There will be many others on this forum who have been through something similar, so if you don't get further replies to this post then do feel free to browse or search (using the button in the blue bar above) the forum for other similar discussions.
