Referred to ultrasound straight away?

Hey!
So I've been reading this site now for roughly a year, on and off trying to distract myself from the fact I may or may not have lymphoma.
I suppose I should start by saying where this all started in the first place. I'm 21 and in January last year I started getting really bad skin around my neck and face, this slowly progressed within a few months from a head to toe skin infection supposedly caused by eczema? I was hospitalised with caught early sepsis for  a week and then left too it. This was all very strange for me because I hadn't suffered with eczema since I was a baby so around 15 years.
I thought nothing of it however 6 months later and the lymph nodes in my neck were still swollen which I found a bit strange. The one on the right side noticeably bigger then the left (about the size of a malteaser).

When I mention this to my dermatologist she said it was normal to have swollen nodes with eczema (Without even feeling the nodes in question mind you)

Anyway, this last month or so my eczema got better yet I realised it has stayed stubborn in the places my lymph nodes are? (Neck, groin & armpit) I figured this might be to do with the skin folds, however I have now got a new lump on the right side of my neck just lower of the already swollen right one and seems longer and harder? People have said I'm being paranoid as no one else can feel it but I know it's there! I have also been suffering with tension headaches on that side, my taste buds keep coming and going alongside pain at the back of my throat, hot face flashes at night and spitting bile/blood in the last few days. I'm not sure if I'm just I'll with this coronavirus or what but I phoned the doctor today and she referred me straight to an ultrasound scan! Thank god.

So now it's just a waiting game...I was wondering if anybody else has suffered with similar symptoms or could give me some words of advice to stop myself overthinking? Thanks for reading, needed to get this out as no one is listening right now.

  • Sorry you have been worrying about lymphoma for a year.
Sorry you had sepsis and hospitalisation.Sorry also the swellings are worrying you.

Maybe, if your deratologist was worried, she would have taken it further?

I am glad you doctor has referred you for an ultrasound scan, hope the results are negative and hope your worries are allayed.

Waiting games are anxious, I haven't had similar issues, I just wanted to come and give you some encouragement. I would totally refrain from googling as this makes worries worse. Sorry you feel that no one is listening to you. Please let us know how you get on.

  • An update:

Went to the ultrasound where they confirmed a lump in neck and swollen lymph's on right side. Been referred to the thyroid clinic! Another wait...
