Hi guys,
Today I have had a real shock. After finding a small lump in my chest above my left breast, I went to my gynae and had an ultrasound. She didn't seem worried but recommended an ultrasound anyway. I have just had the results and she is sending me to see a breast specialist as they've found a small (8mm) irregular dark spot in the scan in my right breast, which was totally unexpected. My doctor assures me that even though the shape is worrying, that it's still more likely to be something and nothing due to my age.
I will be seeing the specialist tomorrow who may do a biopsy or may opt to keep an eye on it for a few months. To say I'm terrified is an understatement. I do have an aunt who had survived breast cancer twice so I do have some family history. Just trying to keep myself from diving into Dr Google too much so thought I would post on here instead.
I have my fingers crossed for a positive outcome
