PET/CT scan - activity in endometrial canal

Hi all

New joiner, wasn't really sure where to turn so ended up here with my worries. So far google isn't helping :)

I had a PET/CT scan last week and the results have come back showing activity in my endometrial wall. It was quite a surprise as I've had no symptoms, and the only reason for the scan is because there has been higher levels of CRP, LDH and ESR in my blood since February and they wanted to find the source. I guess I'm asking, has anyone had a positive PET/CT scan that was not cancer?

I am being referred to a gyno, and I'm doing it privately so should hopefully be fast, but just trying to lower my anxiety by finding out as much as I can till then!

  • Hello ButterflyBrain

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had these health concerns. It sounds as if this is a difficult time with lots of anxiety and unanswered questions for you.

I know that many of our members here, regardless of their diagnosis, will be able to understand some of those thoughts and feelings. Being in limbo and waiting for your next appointment can be hard.

I would suggest giving Google a wide berth at the moment, or at least sticking to reputable websites. Unfortunately there is a lot of out dated and inaccurate information to be found online which will make you even more anxious. Instead you may find it helpful to have a chat with one of our nurses. They may be able to offer some support and information.
You can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Jenn

Thanks for your reply! I have an appointment with a gyno on Friday, I think she will also do an ultra sound scan and hopefully get some answers!

Will try to stay away from google till then :)
