Weird sensation in low middle back slightly towards right

Hello hope everyone is well.

Since Jan I've been feeling a strange sensation like something is nudging me in my back whenever I lean back against the couch or chair there is no swelling that I can see and no accompanying pain . If cross my legs iether side I feel it less .

I'm quiet concerned because it feels like it's getting worse as I know hav it more or less constantly as opposed to sometimes.wondering if anyone has any similar experience and can shed some light on it

I'd rather not go to drs while we are in lockdown

  • Hi Yellow,

The only thing I can really suggest is to speak to your GP if you have concerns about this. You can arrange a phone appointment initially and then if the doctor would like to see you then they can arrange a face-to-face appointment.

This is the only way to get any sure answers or peace of mind if you have medical concerns.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Hi there, hope you are ok. Did you discover what this was? I am feeling something similar at the moment.

  • Hi

I havnt been to my gp yet pain is still ther it's not pain really it's more  like my back feels rigid it hasn't disturbed my movement or sleep at all

Sometimes I forget it's there until I sit or lean back .

It's just weird and uncomfortable also I feel the pressure seems to move sometimes its bang on in the middle then v low down other times hi up in left side but mostly it's just under waist level in my back more towards the right side

  • Hey Yellow,

I am also experiencing this right now too... feels like a pressure more than a pain? I have this in the same

spot on my left hand side. It's just slightly off centre to the spine... I've tried everything on it and anti inflammatorys but nothing touches it! I'm booking a massage to see if they can feel what it possibly could be if it's normal or not

  • That sounds like a good idea .

I've not taken painkillers for the discomfort as it's not really painful just annoying .

Sitting and slouching seem to antagonize it while I'm walking or sleeping the discomfort disappears

  • Hi

I know this post is from a couple of years ago but was just wondering if you found out what was causing the nudging sensation in your back? I am feeling something very similar at the moment and just wondered if you were able to shed any light on it?

    Thank you.
