Hi,
just another worried mum of 2.
i went for a pelvic examination at the doctors due to bleeding after sex and this is not normal for me.
the GP examined me and he said it didn't look good and looked like honeycomb on my cervix.
im due my smear in November. He's referred me under the 2 week cancer referral process for me to be seen.
i got a phone call on Tuesday from the hospital to say that I am no longer going to the gynaecologist but I will be rushed through to the microscope procedure due to the consultant reviewing my referral and pushing it forward.
i called my GP to let him know and I asked if I should be worried. His response was ' I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for you'.
has anyone been referred without a smear and got given the bad news at the end of it?
i mean if a Gp can see it that clearly is that a bad thing?
