Pre cancerous cells in lining of my womb

Hi 

I am just trying to reach out to find anyone who have had or has pre cancerous cells in the lining of their womb (complex atypical hyperlasia) I am 29 years old and have a normal BMI. I have not had any children yet and I have always wanted a family. I was told by my consultant it is usually found in obese woman or woman in there 40's and above. I wanted to find someone who has a normal BMI and in there late 20's early 30's who I can talk to about it. They have already put the mirena coil in and have my first biopsy in July. I was told 3 weeks ago after having Polyps removed that they found this. My consultant told me it was unusual to find in someone of my age and BMI. I don't want to opt for a hysterectomy just yet as like I said before I have always wanted a family so this would be last resort for me.

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and I hope that you will meet other ladies here who are of a similar age and have found themselves in a similar situation with complex atypical hyperplasia in their 20s or early 30s. If you type on our search function which is located on the blue banner at the top the keywords "complex atypical hyperplasia", you will be able to find other past relevant threads on the subject and feel free to respond if you wish. For example I noticed that [@rawdoodles]‍ posted on this thread recently and is also in a similar position keen to start a family. I am sure it will do you both a lot of good to talk to one another about all this.

    I have hyperplasia but a biopsy didn't show abnormal cells just a thick lining but I will be monitored. I'm on progesterone pills and I'm having the more a coil fitted on June 1st. My bmi is higher than yours and I have PCOS which makes it harder to lose weight and both are risk factors for hyperplasia. I need to lose 3 stone before I can be referred for fertility treatment. Providing the progesterone treatment works and the hyperplasia regresses. Make sure they keep monitoring you with scans and biopsies to make sure the treatment is doing its job and the cells don't change. It can be successfully treated with progesterone and you can go on to conceive. Just take it one step at a time and get this issue sorted first. That's how I'm thinking. I'm hoping in a years time things will be better. Let me know how you get on and I'm here if you want to chat xx
