I don't think it's a deffinate, untill they get results back ... as it's so unusual to say that ... they normally wait for results and you get told at appointment after ...

But if it is positive , it's giving you a couple of weeks to get your head around it, if negative then fingers crossed that just may happen ...

There's lots of us breast lasses on here... I came on here like you, scared and confused in 2017 ... but a lovely lady took me under her wing.... and helped me through... there were 5/6 of us started chatting on here, all breast cancer buddies ... all different stages and treatments.... and we helped each other through, and now nearly 3 years down the line, wer all still here, and most of them have gone back to their life post cancer.... so although it's really scary, it is doable ... we just hear on t.v about the ones who loose their fight .... but there's lots of us living with it now ...

                    sorry to read your post.Most people comment on this site over their anxieties and stress with having to wait for results of tests.and it is very evident that this places a huge strain upon them. We live in difficult times,and l suspect some normalities have changed somewhat,so reading between the lines on the balance of probabilities you presented with classic symptoms that only the biopsy will give a definitive answer.You were just given a heads up to prepare yoursell f and the chance to reduce your stress level.At first glance this statement seems ridiculous, but it is surprising how your focus will change to a more reasoned response about future treatment and cure,which is switching a negative to a positive,and it is very much the case that this is the outlook that will see you through this challenging time,

Thanks so much for the replies. Yes I'd rather be warned so that I can emotionally deal with it all now rather than be floored by it next week. My mind was in overdrive and I was thinking if they are confident enough to tell me that then it's probably a really bad one. The ultrasound on my lymph was clear so I'm clinging to that at the moment but the anxiety just hits you in huge waves  and you imagine the absolute worst. I can't tell you how much I appreciate people taking time out of their day to make me feel better when they've never met me xx
