Digestive/colon problems possible colon cancer ?

Hello all,

firstly I am sending my best wishes to everyone during this pandemic and hope everyone is staying as safe as they can.

basically I'm a 28 year old male and for the pas three years I've been having a collection of digestive problems and pains and I'm beginning to worry about possible cancer? All these symptoms and signs have been on and off frequently in 1-4-5 month intervals for the past few years. Including fullness from small meal portions, pain after meals regardless of the food, loss of appetite for days at a time. Perceived pain in my stomach and digestive tract specifically the LUQ. Blood in stool but that has been more recent and pain in my abdomen just below my rib cage that feels like I'm squashing my insides when I sit slouched or lay down on that side. And all the associated problems like fatigue nausea and vomiting that come with these problems. I'm pretty athletic and play sports and am very healthy individual and have seen doctors in the past but usually have been prescribed something and never had any tests or screens to see the problem. I have decided to call a GP and try to convince them to get me a scan or test.

  • Hi Greenarmystr and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to read what you've been experiencing but getting in touch with your GP is definitely the right course of action to take if you're worried.

  • Hiya,

Your symptoms sound identical to mine and I'm 22. I'm all booked in for a colonoscopy so just waiting for that to happen, I will let you know how I get on and what my results are, please also let me know how you get on!

    Best of luck!!
