Lump in Armpit

Hi,

I recently posted in regards to a lump I have found in my right armpit. I have seen a GP and had a weeks worth of antibiotics and blood tests which all come back as normal. I have been back today as there was no change to my knowledge with the lump and was referred to another GP to have a breast examination.

However this GP didn't do a breast examination as requested, but reiterated what the first GP had done and examined the lump again. I have now been referred for a 2ww (2 week wait)  appointment, but I don't meet the criteria for an urgent referral as I am only 20years old.

Can anyone shed some light on this? As you can imagine my mind is doing ten to the dozen and I'm worried sick.

  • Hello Kayleigh1046,

Thanks for posting. The only person that can diagnose you is your doctor so you'll have to wait until your next appointment to know more. As you can imagine, the impact of Covid-19 has put a strain on a lot of serivces, but it won't be long until your appointment so that's a good thing. It might be a good idea to write down any questions you'd want to ask the doctor in the meantime.

    I hope this is helpful,
