Hi everyone .
im hoping someone can help / reassure me.
I'm 41 , never smoked or drank. A few months back I noticed a little swelling on the back wall of my throat , right in the centre . I thought no more of it as had had a cold . Last week I noticed it's still there and slightly bigger. It's oval and skin coloured , the same as the throat colour and around 1 cm big . It's not painful.
my gp put in an ent referral , due to covid he rang me and asked me to describe it over the phone . He said it doesn't sound serious ( how can he tell with looking? ) and asked me to go to clinic at the end of May . Today my neck glands feel tender and have a slight ear ache and I'm panicking like you would not believe. I've convinced myself I've got throat cancer . I can't stop crying.
I can't wait for my appointment but it's weeks away. My right tonsil is slightly bigger but it's always been that way and I suffer from bad tonsil stones in that tonsil.
I can eat , drink , swallow and talk ok . I've not lost any weight.
i don't know what anyone can say but I feel better writing it all down :(
