Lump in my neck under jaw

Hi, I’ve had a lump in my neck at the back of my jaw that’s about 2cms long, for over 6 months now. It feels quite firm and an odd shape, doesn’t move but also doesn’t really hurt. I saw my GP a while back who said it’s just a permanent enlarged gland and nothing to worry about. But I do still worry. It isn’t going away and isn’t getting any smaller. Surely this isn’t something I live with forever? It just doesn’t feel right or normal. Does anyone know if this sounds right or not? Should I pursue this again with my doctor? I just don’t want to waste anyone’s time if I’m worrying unnecessarily. Thanks.

Quite a few of our members have been in similar situations so hopefully you'll hear back from them soon but if you're still concerned maybe you could try getting a second opinion from a different doctor? To find out more just click here.
