Lump under jaw

Hi I'm new to posting and feel a bit  silly to ring the doctors if it's something simple , especially with the corona virus going on. I accidentally found a small lump size of a pea  under my jaw .it's slightly uncomfortable where I have been prodding it . I have a sore throat but it's moves around when I touch it . I read it can be my lymp mode but I don't have one the other side, I have HPv which is why I'm even more paranoid as it can cause head and neck cancer . So it's making me anxious .., it's very small and moves around when touched especially if I put my chin to my chest it's more visible as if it's come away from where It's meant to be . I will call my doctor on Monday but as a health anxious person I'm worried it's something more Serious . Thanks All

  • Hi Dani and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about the worries your lump is causing but you're doing the right thing by contacting your GP as they are in the best position to tell you more about it and hopefully put your mind at ease.

Fingers crossed the lump is no cause for concern.

    Kind regards,
