I'm currently in a similar boat. Found a painless lump in my upper outer quadrant of my right breast. Was told it was a cyst by the Consultant, acter examininv it but it feels firm not fluid filled. I was sent straight for an ultrasound assured I wouldn't need a biopsy.

At the ultrasound as soon as the doctor looked at it she said it was 3cms, possibly a Fibroadenoma and requested a biopsy. I was told they would ring by Wednesday with my results. Instead, 2 days later I receive a letter to attend an appt and when I rang for clarity I was gold the results were being discussed at an MDT meeting.
