Unexplained bruises???

Hey!

So around last month (beginning of April) I started developing these bruises all over my legs (particularly the back of my legs) and also a few other areas. I had a blood test in the beginning of March and everything was normal except low iron which I've had for 5 years as iron tablets do not work for me and vitamin B12 was on the minimum so I'm borderline deficient. I'm not an easy bruiser so I'm quite confused as to why I'm coming out with lots of them. As for other symptoms, the only thing really that's bothering me is extreme fatigue and general weakness. Anybody got any ideas what this could be?

    Ahh okay, I wasn't sure as i've only signed up today. Everywhere online points to leukemia when you search for unexplained bruising. I don't think it's that as I don't have the other symptoms apart from frequent infections. Oh no i'm so sorry to hear that. I am glad your granddaughter is doing well :) I will arrange an appointment now i think x

    Hi there ...

    I didn't hear from her after this ... but please ask your Dr for the same tests I referred to earlier ... ask for plaitlets clotting factor blood tests ...

    My granddaughter had low iron diagnosis for over a year ... then unexplained bruising... lethargy... sore and sometimes bleeding gums ... they missed those out of blood tests .. for over a year .. so by the time she was diagnosed it was advanced ... 

    Hopefully she will let us know ... but that was back in May... I'd rather make a fuss and it was o.k .. then leave it too long ... let us know how you go ... better safe then sorry ... Chrissie x

    Unfortunately they don't allow that now about pictures ... but please don't wait ... try not to panic ... as it just may be o.k ... do you have sore gums too .. but if you tell them you want a full blood test ... including clotting and red and white cell count ... my granddaughter only got the right diagnosis after it went further and she had to go to A and E ... they rushed her in then ... 

    I just wished we'd have pushed harder ... I just thought she was being a tipical lazy teenager ... till I found out about these symptoms... fingers crossed your o.k ... Chrissie x

    Hi sorry to bother you I have some awful purple bruises which I've never had before no energy etc and my legs seem all puffy is this serious as docs don't seem to care

    Hi ...

    Please ask for the blood count and platelets and clotting factor ... just read through these messages and you are allowed to ask for the written results to look yourself ... I know they are cutting back on blood tests lately but get another Drs opinion ...

    Go with your gut feeling ... be firm but polite as it's your health ... but do know there's many things it may be ... but better safe then sorry ... if only we'd known and pushed for these tests ... Chrissie x

    I spoke to gp yesterday and she agreed I need bloods done and someone will contact me to arrange this but il ring back this morning and ask when il be getting them done as it's getting me worried I'm only 39. And thanks for your reply am really thinking of just going to a@e
