Postmenapausal bleeding and polyp

Hi, I went to doctor on 4th February as has spotting (I am 66 years old) had internal doctor was quite happy but as I had been on Tamoxifen (for stage 1 grade 1 breast cancer 7 years ago) and of course the spotting, was told needed to go to gynaecology day clinic which would be in 1-2 weeks... 9 weeks later ( treated for thrush in middle) went for ultrascan. I have 15mm wall thickness and a polyp and referred for hyseroscopy. This is now a further 3 weeks waiting and now bleeding every day... anyone in same boat so to speak .

  • Hello,

About a year before I found out I had cancer, I had a polyp. I bled for 3 plus weeks and ended up having an ultrasound to find out I had the polyp. Is there anything you would like to know that would help you?

  • Hello, and thank you for taking the time to kindly message me. To update, I took a chance and rang Gyne day clinic, the doctor rang me back and very kindly slotted me in this afternoon for hysteroscopy... very uncomfortable but both the doctor and the nurses were just wonderful. No polyp, and hopefully wall lining thin etc due to tamoxifen. I await biopsy results (might be a while) sending blessings and be safe
