Concerned about bulge in vagina?

Hi there. Recently I've began to notice lump or "bulge" of sorts inside my vagina. I tried popping a tampon in and thought I had maybe forgotten that I had already done so as it wouldn't go in and upon inspection I've came across a bulge like dead set in the centre. It doesn't hurt at all but it's quite large (or at least feels so). I'm not sure if this is normal or not and I don't want to make a fuss and go to a lady doctor only for them to tell me that's how a vagina is suppose to feel, you know? But at the same time I'm a little worried but trying not to scare myself. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

  • Hi there !

I too have a bulge in vagina about a inch inside , walnut sized, noticed it during painful sex , I have seen a doctor and been referred to gynaecologist . She said could be prolapse she also mentioned cancer which I wasn't expecting . This doesn't mean it is of course but they have to check . I don't know much about this .   I'm going next Tuesday to see gynaecologist !
Do you have any symptoms ?

  • Hi Pinklola and welcome to the forum.

I noticed you were trying to reach out to some of the members on this thread but as it hasn't been active since July 2020, there's a chance you may not hear back from them.

I really hope that isn't the case but if you don't receive a reply, it may be worth starting a new discussion.

I hope you manage to book a GP appointment tomorrow and your symptoms are nothing serious.

    Kind regards,
