Hi,
I had a scare a few months ago where I wasn't ill but hard a large, hard lump on my neck. I was given a fast track appointment as it was suspected lymphoma and I also had night sweats (could be hormones). The lump disappeared and I asked the consultant if I still needed to come in and they said no no need now and cancelled it.
It's been about 7 months, and I noticed a mole on the back of my calf which I hadn't seen before (no idea how long it has been there). It was quite large (about the size of a 5p) and looks scaly and broken. I called the GP (because of covid) but they wanted me to come in. She looked at it and immediately referred me for a fast track dermatologist appointment which I have in about a week. I also have melanoma in the family and very moley skin. I am trying to relax and wait calmly, but can't shake the feeling that the lump a few months ago may mean I do have skin cancer and that it has spread to the lymph nodes and now it's going to be advanced and really bad...
Does anyone know if lymphoma lumps can disappear? I have had no other lumps anywhere else and it has not come back or anything. Is it unlikely that the lump would be in my neck rather than my pelvis or something if it was melanoma that had spread? I am worried everything will be delayed because of covid too (although all is moving quickly so far).
Would love to hear if anyone has some insight? I will let people know the outcome.
