Well firstly I feel crazy writing on here , but I think it's maybe the best place to get support and possible answers :-/ 

ive had a sore throat for 5 weeks now , I've also started to cough in the last 2 weeks . 
For over a year now I wake up occasionally almost choking , as though somebody has had their hands around my throat. I've been to the doctors regarding this and I'm awaiting to see a specialist. 
The painful throat is new though , with everything going on the doctor refused to see me , though I was in absolute Agony , he however diagnosed me over the phone with tonsillitis and I've had so far 3 lots of antibiotics, I've had a throat swab which is normal, BUT I still have a very painful throat . 
I honesty have no idea why , but I can't get thrust cancer out of my mind :-( 

Im afraid the doctor won't do anything or help me . 
but could I ask please are the above symptoms like anything anybody ever had ? i also have a large lump on the back of my neck ( which was scanned last year and came back as fat basically)
