Hi
I'm new on here and just wanted to know others opinion and support.
I discovered a dimple on left breast in January whilst nursing my mum at end of life with pancreatic cancer just 6months after losing my dad (not cancer although lung cancer was found but not immediate cause of death) ultrasound was clearly breast doc not happy so brought me after 8 weeks during which time we had sadly lost mum. Sent for MRI to finally get all clear but then got call to say needed another ultrasound as something found on mri. Ultrasound done and biopsy taken of "different area". Anyway COVID has now stopped all outpatient appts and ad a letter to say my appt this tuesday would be phone call at same time but find quiet place and make sure to answer call at 9.20 am. This week in received a call from the hospital saying Consultant (not the breast care nurse) wants to see me face to face on tuesday. Doesn't bode well does it? I am a community registered nurse so am quite a realist especially due to the trauma of the last 8 months. I'm sure they wouldn't call me into a hospital which is converting wards to covid only to tell me all is ok??? The wait is doing me in, I am off work today, I long day Monday so that will keep me busy the its DDay. Just wanted to know if anybody had similar experience of appts during covid pandemic? Thanks for listening/reading. Deb xxxx
