Hi, my mum recently had a CT scan which showed up nodules on one of her lungs. She is now being sent for Thyroid, chest/abdomen and pelvic scan and then a PET scan within a week. Her case is being treated as urgent. Should we be worried. Very stressful. Please advise.

    I'm sure some of our members who have been in a similar situation to your mum will share their advice and experiences with you soon but whilst you wait I just wanted to share some information we have on our website about urgent referrals.
