Hi, I had my second smear test in February I am 27. However have still received no letter, but received a phone call from my nurse today saying the the results showed HPV was present but no abnormal cells found and need a repeat smear in 12months. 

I know it sounds dramatic, but now I am panicked and thinking the worst and don't know if I can wait 12 months. I had a the hpv vaccine when I was 16 so feel quite stressed that the result came back with it. 

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?? Thanks in advance.
