Concerned

Hi

I'm 32 year old mom of 2, I have had a lump on the back of my head/neck for last two years, it has never bothered me it was never sore or anything for the two years until the last 3 weeks. It is bigger and harder and very tender to touch. I went to doctor they gave me antibiotic for the first week and it didn't do anything I'm not on second week of antibiotic and the tenderness is definitely decreased but it is still sore at times. During the worst of the pain I also had a funny feeling in my throat to swallow. I also have been getting headaches the last two days centralised mainly in the back of my head and feeling slightly dizzy on my feet.

i am afraid to go back to the doctor because of this coronavirus going around. Is this something that I should be concerned about?

  • Hi Mama2,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Unfortunately no-one here will be able to advise on this - the best thing is to speak to your doctor to try to get some answers or peace of mind. Make a note of the symptoms you mention and you can discuss with them, explaining that the antibiotics didn't seem to help.

I hope you're able to find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
